We are always asked to recommend Maui hotels to couples, and are glad to do so. All of the hotels/condos listed below are in the South Maui area
(Kihei, Wailea) where it is less touristy, nicer beaches and drier with less of a chance for rain on your wedding day. Located in this area are 5 championship
golf courses, fantastic restaurants and great shopping! South Maui beaches are the nicest, wider and less crowded.
The Maui Sunseeker Resort is Maui's only gay and lesbian hotel. They have recently remodeled and expanded with new ownership. Their tripadvisor
comments are great and we highly recommend this oceanview property right across the street from the beach.
South Maui is closer to: our spectacular waterfalls, our must-see 10,000 foot volcano and closer to the airport. You can have your ceremony on the
beach in front of any of these hotels and condos, or see our location page for our favorite Maui wedding locations. Please note South
Maui receives 9" of rain per year, while the Lahaina/Kaanapali area receives 18" of rain per year on average.
